2016 Wedding Flower Trends

From dresses to decor, the world of design and fashion are highly influential on wedding flower trends.
With Rose Quartz and Serenty Blue announced as the Pantone colors of the year, we can expect these colors to bring a kind of calm and relaxation to the wedding palette that allows for romance to thrive.

Pantone further suggests, “Appealing in all finishes, matte, metallic and glossy, the engaging combo joins easily with other mid-tones including greens and purples, rich browns, and all shades of yellow and pink. Add in silver or hot brights for more splash and sparkle.

We’re already seeing the remnants of the age of romance in spring wedding dress design trends. Dress decoration of lace, feathers and floral applique are evocative of the romantic art deco era of the 1920’s and 30’s. Also reminiscent of this period, we’ll see influences of geometric patterns and glamorous metallics. With more romance in mind, look for ruffles, puffy sleeves, and off the shoulder looks.

For 2016 weddings, there are 4 major floral trends that are burning up Pinterest boards the world over. Flower Trends Forecast breaks them all down for us…

Our Studley’s bridal consultants and floral designers know these trends simply serve as the inspiration to help our brides exhibit her own personal style. These photos are examples of our work, where we recently worked with the bride to add her personal flair to the Lavish trend.

The bride’s bouquet is a lush, cascading arrangement filled with color and texture featuring garden roses, pepper berry, celosia, calla lilies, herbs and peppers.

We incorporated a memorial photo of the bride’s father in a small silver framed pendant with white sheer ribbon – a subtle symbolic accent, but a significant measure of comfort to the bride.

We’ve seen a growing interest in floral crowns for the bridal party, as a natural floral headdress on the wedding day. Another indication that romance in wedding design is in full bloom!  In this case, the flower girl accesorized with a perfectly natural combination of garden flowers and berries, loosely woven amongst luxe laurel leaves.

Studley’s designers produced these botanically diverse and stunningly colorful table centerpieces.
We conceived these custom accent arrangements to complement the rustic wedding setting.
The couple invited intimacy with photos and postcards to bring both absent and present loved ones closer together.
