Irrigation FAQ

Rest easy knowing your property is being properly maintained.
Feet up. Sprinklers on.

Irrigation is the application of controlled amounts of water to lawns, gardens, and other spaces with live plants. Studley’s irrigation systems provide your lawn and plants with the optimum amount of water they need to thrive.

  • Irrigation systems help maintain the moisture level in the soil between rainstorms to keep the lawns lush and plants thriving. Installing an irrigation system removes the need to drag heavy hoses around your property.
  • An irrigation system also increases or preserves your property values. Maintaining your property increases the resale value, and an irrigation system makes it much easier to keep your property well maintained.

Not at all! Adding an irrigation system to your property is simple. Our team will install your irrigation system quickly and efficiently with minimal disruptions.

We service both individual and commercial irrigation systems, including:

  • City or town waster source-based systems
  • Private well-based systems
  • Public well-based systems
  • Lake or pond-based systems
  • Water reclamation-based systems

Studley’s installs three common types of irrigation systems:

  • Rotor Sprinklers: These sprinklers rotate and efficiently cover large open areas. Rotor sprinklers are best for covering most lawns, sports fields, gold courses, and other large open areas.
  • Spray head sprinklers: These sprinklers can cover small, difficult to cover areas without much room to apply water, such as narrow walkways along your house or strips of grass and plants between hardscape fixtures. Spray head sprinklers are best suited for handling oddly shaped or difficult to reach areas of your property. Please note that spray head sprinklers are not as water efficient as rotor sprinklers, using twice as much water per inch as rotor sprinklers, and the two types of sprinklers cannot be grouped in the same zone.
  • Multiple-Projectile Rotator Sprinklers (MPs): MPs are the newest innovation in irrigation technology. They enable the design and placement flexibility of spray heads paired with the functionality of rotors. MPs can cover difficult areas that larger rotors are unable to reach. The design of these sprinklers correct many of the deficiencies of spray heads when paired with large rotors and apply the same amount of water per inch as a large rotor sprinkler.
