Studley’s installs three common types of irrigation systems:
- Rotor Sprinklers: These sprinklers rotate and efficiently cover large open areas. Rotor sprinklers are best for covering most lawns, sports fields, gold courses, and other large open areas.
- Spray head sprinklers: These sprinklers can cover small, difficult to cover areas without much room to apply water, such as narrow walkways along your house or strips of grass and plants between hardscape fixtures. Spray head sprinklers are best suited for handling oddly shaped or difficult to reach areas of your property. Please note that spray head sprinklers are not as water efficient as rotor sprinklers, using twice as much water per inch as rotor sprinklers, and the two types of sprinklers cannot be grouped in the same zone.
- Multiple-Projectile Rotator Sprinklers (MPs): MPs are the newest innovation in irrigation technology. They enable the design and placement flexibility of spray heads paired with the functionality of rotors. MPs can cover difficult areas that larger rotors are unable to reach. The design of these sprinklers correct many of the deficiencies of spray heads when paired with large rotors and apply the same amount of water per inch as a large rotor sprinkler.
