Ponytail Palm has a sleek bulb-like trunk, topped with long tendril leaves that flow like a ponytail, giving it its name. It is not a true palm, and is more like a desert plant, with a dense trunk that cleverly stores water, so it is drought tolerant and very tolerant of neglect.
